A mockup of what the dungeon rooms might look like. Goblin Dancer for scale. I plan to have each room act like a single event with a stat-related check to succeed or fail. Failure probably injures the goblins and forces them to stay out of the next room or two. #gamedev #nsfw #pixelart #indiedev

This was the first mock-up I made for the game, a character select screen for the various goblins. 4 boys 4 girls, 1 for each "class" specializing in a stat. Game dev is wild magic so who knows if any of this will stay! If it does, though, the final version would have big, cool face sprites.

After another half-hour I managed to get a "male" and "female" version for each ass type because there's 4 boy and 4 girl goblins you can pick from. I'm pretty happy with the simple style here, especially when it comes to quickly making assets for a game.

It's honestly crazy how I whipped these out in 20 minutes total. I've been practicing quite a bit off-screen but I'm going to start posting semi-regularly about this goblin dungeon game I'm designing. At least, the art for it!

I tried blocking out a more dynamic pose using monochromes and it helped a LOT, I was able to get this angry goblin girl with a guan dao out much faster than I can usually pixel a normal standing pose. Definitely going to try more of this in the future.
