Yes. Just don't import the Generative AI Addon. The Dialogue System for Unity itself doesn't use any generative AI. If you still want some procedural text features without generative AI, you can use the Procedural Dialogue Addon instead. Or just the Dialogue System by itself as many games do.

Don't want to use OpenAI? Use Gemini, Deepseek & others via Ollama & voice generation via ElevenLabs, Overtone or DeepVoice. Bonus: ElevenLabs voices are licensed from paid actors, not scraped.
