I played around with having a camera that leads in front of the player's movement to make up for the fact I'm using a 4:3 ratio. Of course its more complicated than it would be in 2D and uses 3 separate boom arms #indie #indiedev #solodev #gamedev #godot #godotdev #sinessence

Mostly just a visual Update for my game. I've set up an animation tree but i also reduced the size of Sinessences sprite and reduced the games resolution to 320 by 240 Im not totally satisfied with the way I implemented the low resolution since I'm doing it kinda backwards. #godot #indie #sinessence

Followed a tutorial by Javidx9 on youtube, but I opted to use C instead of C++. That came with a couple of hurdles. I figured out how to handle line clearing all on my own, and Im proud of that.

Only thing to do from here is add in betweens, shading, and her left facing sprite which'll be 70% copypasta.

I don't think I'll get much done this weekend cause I'll be busy with unrelated stuff. But I just decoupled the in game camera from sinessence, which should smooth out the jitter caused by the path alignment system. N-E-Ways heres a blooper from that.

Finally I can post videos. Anyways here's my 2.5D metroidvania I've been working on. I'm super proud of the Klonoa like path alignment.
The game is called Sinessence, named after the rabbit shown in this clip
