How is Tony spending money on this? The books are published by DC. The artists are paid by DC. This is cross promotion, not some huge ad that Tony Khan had to pay for.
Even if you get great writing like you had for the first movie, I expect this sequel to be a lot more difficult to watch because of the voice acting. Everybody is old now and some characters just don't sound right anymore.
