I think it's natural to iterate on stories in any form, it's more than fine to make changes post-release. I'd be upfront about them tho as to not confuse your audience, I think concise patch notes system would do the trick to prevent that

the lab life series is quite a thing in the dev circle im in, i shared it one day and everyone found it hilarious
its what spawned this side project im working on! while its very different, the characters are really fun to develop and show interacting
was kinda crazy to see you were still active

LOL i didnt think anyone would remember it, i remember starring in that series way back in the day
the fact that anyone from it is still around is crazy 😵‍💫
