He/Him 🏳️‍🌈
In a funny way, I keep thinking, this awful thing's happened, would be good to say hi and see if he's about to take my mind off it.

Except I can't - this is all because he's not here himself.

Wasn't the most responsive person in later years but a joy to be around when you had a chance.

Gutted he's not here to catch up with.

You really can't take things for granted in this life.

Going to really miss him, and it's painful to know that's one less friendly face I can expect to see from now on.

Imagining some poor junior member of staff hitting publish by mistake.

Does feel like Sultana would just be better off doing her own thing.

Has it just become straight murder mystery now?

UK in the 2020s is increasingly resembling France in the post-Sarkozy era, except I don't see a Macron-esque centrist bloc waiting in the wings. Persistent low growth/weak confidence, increased polarisation.

Only difference is we might just skip a Macron era and go straight to the extreme right.

Honestly, what is that *thing* that is needed to raise animal spirits at this point? I dread to think what life will be like if it's 2028-29, and things still bumping along the bottom.

The story definitely felt quite long in the first half - songs were well-performed, one or two lyrics that stood out but others less memorable.

The thing which puzzled was just accents and setting. Was it Eastern Europe/France? Were they pursued by Nazis at the end? Lot left unexplained.
