Yeah, I'm not satisfied with that response either. This is hard.

One thing that bugs me is the number of people that parrot Reagan's "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help" joke. That core distrust seems like it has in itself become an identity, one that will never fade.

Which I think ties to what I've seen others say - we should be sharing pictures of the measles, not pictures of needles, when talking and telling stories about this particular topic.

Outcomes. There's no other reason to inherently trust the AAP, that's what I take from this conversation. People - societies - will have to see the outcome and learn. You're right, it is deeply frustrating that some lessons are now going to have to be re-learned.

Well just a second there, professor. We fixed the glitch.

Absolutely terrifying. And the sound of that engine from within the car? I came away appreciating the hell out of those guys doing it for 200 laps, twice as fast, with 40 other crazies all around them.

That's me climbing into the #20 at MIS. Last thing the pit guy told me was "don't worry about the turn, it'll stick", which was important since every instinct sees the 20 degree banking and says "no it won't!" Incredible experience.

Wait, is the assistance only for the home team? If not, it seems as though the ghost tiger would be pretty good about scaring away at the birds. The sailors want no part of it. Even the giants are going to at least be distracted.

Here's my guess. Text of the bill says "operates, sponsors, or facilitates athletic programs or activities" which seems broad enough to let a federally funded facility say "yep, that's us" and implement a policy. Especially if its leadership thinks it's a good idea to comply in advance.

Had the exact same thought last night - "Arkansas, yes, but they hired Bielema so that's gotta count.." 😂

Been a few months since I read it but no, I'd say the conclusions largely put faith in people. Sure, one can do a lot of damage with false speech, but the "fix" could easily be worse. Lots of very good stories from case law to demonstrate the point.

Oct 7, 2006 - Michigan beats MSU 31-13 while the Tigers win Game 4 of the ALDS to knock out the Yankees. Great freakin day to be in the stadium.

The answer that could satisfy everyone is "why not both?" Baseball can and should make a much bigger deal out of who wins the pennant based on regular season results only. That should mean something. Let the playoffs be the playoffs where it's a different format and a different sort of baseball.

THIS. Yeah he was drunk but I'd be willing to bet he'd have done the same stupid thing sober because I see people doing this kind of thing all the time lately.

The best is that there's no way for us to know which of the multiple daggers you're referring to with any given post.

Nobody seems to understand that "what if the whole season was a form of playoff?" raises the value of each and every game played. College football regular season games about to be ruined by this same concept.

Love that show and they do still have it, it's just buried streaming on ESPN+. You really have to dig to find it.
