It would also require clearing large areas of trees and vegetation, some of which were planted by our tax dollars. I use the beltline daily and find it so encouraging to see people walking and biking instead of driving.

We already have Marta trains and buses. How will this be more effective? The beltline was a rails to trails program to turn abandoned tracks into walking and biking paths. After spending millions of dollars for this transformation, why would we put the rail back?
