Well this is tricky because when my 1 train goes express from 96st to 137st I am overjoyed that I get to skip a few stops, yet it’s considered not on-time

We have eroded our systems of primary education (see “I love the poorly educated”) to foster a population that isn’t capable of thinking critically. The university system skews “left” not because of conspiracy, but because it has people who know *how* to think (which is like dancing Nietzsche said)

I think it may be too late for that. Amongst other things, we neglected the development of a media ecosystem (AM talk radio, cable news, and now podcasting) where these authoritative views are widely distributed.

Yeah that’s one of my frequent routes too and I couldn’t agree more. It seems half the buses follow the schedule and half leave like 10-15 mins after they’re supposed to, which leads to bunching. Also the buses say Glendale now and nothing about that part of the route changed
