First recorded in 2023 and still with single digit records, I found two males five days apart, one in my garden and one in nearby woodland.

This individual is the latter.

The Wrinkled Fieldcap (Agrocybe rivulosa) first recorded in 2004 & grows only on wood chip.

Increasingly common but still only 352 records on the Fungus Conservation Trust's CATE2 database.

I just searched iRecord (finally worked out the filter system) and there's only 15 accepted records, 4 of which are from Brighton, incl. one by yours truly 2 yrs ago.

The Police estimate some 110,000 people attended yesterday's Free Speech March, at which only those on 'the right' were invited to speak freely.

That makes the organiser's own estimate wrong by around 2,890,000.

It was my 4th try

I'd only had a glimpse of a couple at the top of my usual Oak tree, but it's so tall, getting anything like a decent photo with my zoom is very difficult.

I thought I'd try a smaller Oak nearby which I've tried before with no success, but this time it paid off.
