I write about what's on my mind. Could be wrong!
I'm not concluding that they won't work. My whole original point was I haven't seen anything yet that tells me they're going to actually be good or that things are any different than previous regimes

This is exactly what my next newsletter is about. You are severely limiting yourself if you sit around and say we can only sign those 'top top guys.'

There's so much talent out there. You should have scouts capable of finding guys that you and I haven't heard of

But they even admitted they really just wanted to sign a new striker because Hojlund was the previous regime's guy and they wanted their own expensive high potential striker

Doesn't really matter how good the people you hire are when all they're doing is telling Ratcliffe what he wants to hear

They could have easily signed a striker that would have been a better fit for Cunha + Mbeumo for A LOT less money and used the remaining money to sign a midfielder or a wing back which overall would have helped the team a lot more.

Sesko needs the players around him to get him the ball. + he's far from the finished product so you're paying a lot for potential that he's unlikely to hit because you're not surrounding him with the types of players he needs to succeed. Will end up being a big waste of money
December 5, 2025 at 2:28 PM
They very much should have gone for a different striker. Cunha + Mbeumo are two ball dominant players who want to shoot. You signed them to score goals. If you want them to do that you need a striker who can help get them the ball AND create space for them. Sesko is not that guy at all
December 5, 2025 at 2:27 PM
And that doesn't even take into account Sesko. No one who knows what they're doing would sign Cunha + Mbeumo AND THEN Sesko. You sign the first two, or the other. The three aren't going to work together and you jsut tied up a ton of money without filling the rest of your holes.

We're not though. We still have holes to fill in central midfield and wingback. Say we address them this summer. Then you gotta reinforce the centerbacks and then start thinking about the front line because Mbeumo + Cunha will be getting up in age - and they'll be hard to move on.

Ehhh there is really nothing about the current leadership group that screams they’re actually competent and know what they’re doing

Anyone who says any coach would struggle with this squad is 100% right but that game last night really shined a light on the fact that Amorim is just not the guy long term

He cannot adjust. So even when the squad is there, there will be games where other teams are prepared. What's he going to do?

Think Spurs' biggest issue is they just need better players. Especially in midfield

The whole squad is a bunch of solid/good players but none who are really good/great

Like I feel like we got to the correct punishment outcome but went down the wrong road to get there
October 17, 2025 at 11:53 AM
If that was - and it probably should have been - UEFA's stance that's fine & understandable

What makes this case weird is it's the local police getting involved just saying "we want know part of it"
October 17, 2025 at 11:49 AM
The thing is Ratcliffe doesn't want to do those things. Ratcliffe wants to make the decisions himself. He wants to be the guy
