Stats are only an indication. You can read it as “there’s good probability” maybe even put a percentage on it (although we’d need more data to do that). But either way it can’t be 100%.. 100% would be only if a team already achieved the minimum points to stay up.

The entire article is quite long and there’s probably much more to it but in simple terms this is more like open source software but with an entity behind it to support and grow it whilst the likes of twitter/ LinkedIn are more like commercial software and aim to monetise their products.
