I'm imagining some sort of fetch/branch predictor like strategy of predicting data lifetime for the sake of future scheduling efficiency, it's an idea that makes sense in my head anyway

I suspect the sort of people that update Wikipedia articles minutes after someone dies have a hobby, and it's this

I like to imagine them as cute little data entry gremlins (in a good way) that strive to record all information

The point: large developers could be putting out more $10m< games <$100m profitably with less risk than the current obsession with $100m< games desperately trying to be the next GTA/GoW/etc.

Yes "gamers" "ask" for such on sm, but far more relevant: the market is provably there.

Linear viewing stretches in budget from someone posting on TikTok to Avatar 3 and everything in between.

Game execs want the biggest checks out there, so go for Avatar 3 scale or go broke? But maybe there can only be so many of those around at once, while the mid range gets underfunded? 🤷‍♀️🤷

To support this, AAA Borderlands 4 sold less than expected, but Mafia The Old Country, the modern equivalent of ME 1-3, sold better than. Same year, same publisher, same release window 🤔

Take-Two CEO: Mafia 4 Proves People Want Shorter, Cheaper Games
It sounds like we'll be getting more games like this year's Mafia: The Old Country

Thinking it thru more: Mass Effect released 3 games in 5 years over a decade ago.

I didn't like 2 or 3 but they were successful. All the increase in budget and scope since has raised risks for developers, but I'm not sure it's made such games much "better"?

Never tried hardware vrs, didn't realize it did that for tri edges. Sounds like a non starter for high poly games today, at least I'd imagine

Correct, light has energy though, e = mc^2, thus we can estimate the lights mass given it's energy, as shadow is the absence of light we can say it's an absence of energy, thus negative energy, thus proving negative mass!

This feels like it could be a Mario Sunshine adjacent game where you have to battle through a snow apocalypse with an ice melting flamethrower.
