Congratulations to Dr. Reid Perkins, who successfully defended his dissertation today. He studied terrestrial analogue sites in Iceland and Nunavut to understand our planetary neighbours.

My daughter also traveled everywhere with me, but I couldn’t have done it without the help of my very supportive husband! Now age 12, she wants to be a pilot!

I’m participating in #xfiles25days today. For my favorite Scully scene, I pick Ghouli. Seeing Scully speak to her “dead” son kicked me right in the gut. There are few people who understand the pain that comes from losing a child. To see my childhood hero speak what I have felt took my breath away.

I also had a cat named Diego! He sadly never got to ride a bus in Reykjavik.
