Ao is prob the only one who can fill that role, for the reasons you suggest. Willy hinted at the potential early last season but that would be a gamble. Have to see how Okafor works out before we know how versatile he might be (longshot imo). After that, we are really left with number 8s, not 10s.

I just think it looks like nicer if there is nothing on it tbh. Its already a busy image without a big red circle and two charging animals on it.

The question is less about being able to step up from the Championship (where faced a low block almost every week) and more about being able to step up from Spain U21s to the PL opposition where he'll get more space but few chances. Loan makes sense to me. If it's a financial choice, I'd keep him.

I wish he was PL quality (we, Ireland) need him to be. But, I'm sorry to say, he isn't. Think we (Leeds) need to look elsewhere.

It feels like he's underutilised when he's at the back, but he and Rodon look to be our best combination. With Struijk and others out, the full squad is going to be needed over the last 5 matches. Cue Paddy, Schmidt, Byram and Largie.

So, nothing to do with the fact that he wasn't fit before he came to us, and got less fit while he was with us and got visibly chunkier as the days and weeks went by. The guy stole a wage.
