For ease of working through the genetics, I'd want to work with diploids only... but the tetraploids are so wonderful.

I've got a tet seedling from a local breeder that was a very late bloomer, with pods still opening into September.

Just curious, are there studies that suggest wearing long pants, etc. prevents tick bites? I find I still get ticks, they just bite higher on my body because I don’t notice them. With shorts I both feel and see them on my legs before they get any higher or actual embed in my skin.

Let me know if you ever want plants, seeds, or my thoughts on a specific plant… my collection is around 1,000 cultivars, I have lots of seeds/seedlings, and I can point you to some good breeders at the moment (worth a look… www.daylilydiary.com/gardenHybrid...).
