I have never seen anybody agree as aggressively as in this thread...

I hope that history accurately blames media and the plutocrats who control their purses

It was certainly confusing to see cats walking to the right and hearing lower notes from the piano

I'm all for raising the minimum wage, but whoever made that graphic needs to be careful. That x-axis is sloppy*; the story doesn't need a biased graph for everybody to see how true it is.

*7.25 isn't a fifth of 15 and changing the starting x-value to around five or so is misleading in this context

I agree with you, but also want to point something out for those who found KH too corporatist. You're lucky. You live a privileged life; you can afford to not vote against Trump and wait for the Democratic party to reform (it won't). Please consider though that some good is better than none.

Illegal means that somebody broke a criminal law. Who are you referring to, and what criminal law did they break?

Ah yes, the last left-wing bastion: business insider and its direct reporting of court cases. I really wanted to believe that you wanted to talk, convince, and understand; but you just get proven wrong and change the subject or deny. Hopefully other people realize you're trolling sooner than I did

I've checked five different sources that demonstrated J sixers had their day in court and had due process. Where's your source?

It seems like you're trying to be outraged, and misinterpreting my comments to fuel that. I never said Biden didn't pardon anybody. I said you can't draw a parallel between a prisoner swap and a pardoned domestic terrorist. Let's settle that before going off the deep end.
May 7, 2025 at 9:03 PM
Sometimes it's easy to confuse two actions that seem similar but have different purposes. Biden commuted that sentence in order to swap prisoners with China. Trump released these people because it seems he believes rioting and looting federal property shouldn't be a crime?

They're not perfect sources, but these two clearly support the ratio of the numbers above with a bit of math, and could be used to check its accuracy by a more driven accountant

Not criticizing the message, but what kind of confused person installed that side view mirror backwards?

They stated that Trump was a threat to our democracy. They stood for equal rights for all Americans, even if they lacked a perfect path to achieving those goals. They supported strengthening ties with other democratic nations. They created plans for restoring a healthy economy / middle class.

If you look at the mighty quinn's post history it's pretty obvious he's either a bot or a troll. You can keep feeding him if you want, but I don't think any amount of attention can fix him. Just block and move on.

I agree with the sentiment, but:
A) Cybertrucks are a status symbol. Their owners can afford it.
B) it's dishonest to draw parallels between Jan 6th and people spray painting swastikas on swasticars.

I haven't seen evidence of actual riots at Tesla Dealerships, can you link some that you've found?

You're not focused on the matter at hand: The DNC is expected to be impartial, and it wasn't.

The primary results aren't what people were most angry about; it's the gaslighting. People are angry at how the DNC subverted the democratic process, lied about it, and shows no interest in improving.
April 2, 2025 at 4:53 AM
I understand the non-voters too well, but it rips me apart to know that we could've avoided this if more people on all sides had swallowed their pride. Sorry if I misled you there.
April 1, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Voted and pulled for Kamala hard this election. Worked hard to get the family / friends to vote reasonably as well, but a lot of progressives are alienated by democratic elites.

You act as if blame will mend this divide. I think dems need to blend elites' institutional knowledge and prog values.
April 1, 2025 at 9:34 PM
It sounds like you're stating that because she was going to win (which was obviously likely) that it doesn't matter if she sabotaged both democratic and republican primaries. Can you explain how your views are different from this?
April 1, 2025 at 12:48 PM
Humanshapedmeat isn't wrong either though. It's like asking if explosions are caused by ignitions or fuel. Propaganda targeting uninformed voters is the main cause for the issues you just listed. HRC utilized media to encourage those traits in the repub primaries. Ignoring that gets us nowhere.
April 1, 2025 at 10:42 AM
We gotta move past this - corpo's like Clinton are dangerous to our democracy and our kid's futures, but not nearly as much as the current rendition of the republican party. It's molehills vs mountains. We gotta move past this pied piper debacle because she can truly help.
April 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM
Your comment oversimplifies things. I assume that you weren't informed on the DNC's role in biasing the primaries. Voters were intentionally misled by the DNC and by Clinton. This claim of elitism tanked leftist support in 2024 as well. We need to address and heal it.

They don't think they're voting against their own interests; they're drowning in propaganda. They were told the best two businessmen in the world would fix everything wrong with America, and they've been deprived of the critical thinking training to realize they're being conned.
