We went to an old-time base ball game 2 years ago at Cantigny in Wheaton, IL. It looked exactly like this. Tents, scorekeeper's table, trees, the crowd, all of it

I've read a lot of books on coaching baseball. This one is my favorite.

Here's how I make my red & white baseballs. I mask the center of the baseball with electrical tape, then color half the ball with a red sharpie. Sharpies are good because it doesn't affect the feel of the leather. 1/3

Do you want better vision when hitting? Try to see the ball better with your back eye. For a RHH, this would be your right eye.

I'm not a big fan of gadgets and gizmos, but the Swivel Vision goggles are pretty good

Hard to believe, but real Pop-Tarts are way better for you than the "organic" imposters. Even the Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts.
Why? Because they are fortified.
The organic imposters are just empty calories.

What is the best way to break-in a new glove? Wear it and play catch.
Avoid oils and creams. Don't flatten it like a pancake and destroy the pocket.
The water vapor in your hand helps soften the leather while playing catch.
Use a glove guard to retain a good shape whenever you put it away.

Kenko rubber baseballs from Japan are amazing tools, especially for indoor practices.
Highly recommend

Here's a good way to introduce diving to a young fielder. The 3.5 gallon bucket is the perfect height. Sit on the bucket before each catch or fast-rolled ball.
Since they are starting with their center of gravity so low, their is little fear of hitting the ground.

Not a fan of wrist flicks. I am a big fan of throwing Clean Fuego, Club K spinner, and white hockey pucks. Great way to teach keeping the index and middle fingers together, cutting the ball in half with middle finger and thumb, and aligning the spin with the arm slot.
