I’m not actually a real life Virginia Opossum, but I do play one sometimes

on the one hand, I do wish realism was represented more in fetish spaces which would include consent & chemistry but that also nourishes a wholly different emotional need than heavier hitting stuff, like vore for example loses its oomph if you take the friction and mortal peril out of the equation

I kinda get this, consent is obviously essential irl but sometimes it can feel tacked on as if for the sake of authorial insecurity w wielding taboos and it feels less earned as it would be through organic chemistry or even like, subtle signals or gestures that can hint towards the very same idea

that first morning after’s reallllyyyy got to stink, once your now human Were-Friend starts teasing you for getting that same musky permastank all over you that they’ve been whining about ever since they first turned… at that point, you may as well bite the silver bullet and join the club~ 🤭

it must be so emotionally affirming to be a Were-Skunk’s safe space of choice… just imagine them seeking you out on a chilly autumn moon to nestle up with you, sharing the musty mephitic warmth of their coarse wiry fur and hyde… 🥰 you practically never see were-creatures seek that kind of serenity…

Yeah! EXACTLY! Sure, they might look big and scary when the full moon turns them… but that all fundamentally serves an understandable emotional need to assert boundaries— and their animal instincts won’t let them be shy if you call their bluff!

…imagine if being a were-creature wasn’t defined by the horror of being a dangerous burden but something that demanded your emotional needs for safety and comfort to be met, something that made earnest vulnerability non optional that needed to be handled with patience like any chronic disability

…the body horror of being reduced to pure naked instinct with an animal‘s intelligence and an inhuman body could be so cool if stories didn’t always conflate “animalistic” with “murderous beast”, that could be such a cry for help that forces you to surrender your socially obligated pretenses…
