Still moving and disturbing to this day. Fun fact: the NC streets they shot on did not have streetlights, and they got the electric company to connect some up for the shoot. (Am listening to "Room to Dream," the Lynch bio & autobiography)

Fantastic, gorgeous film. Probably the best thing Welles is in that he didn't direct himself.
