Gothic Remake demo changed my mind completely. I was skeptical they could capture what made the original special, but it actually feels right. The jank is still there in the best way.

Anyone else been burned by remakes before only to be pleasantly surprised?

If you liked Stardew Valley but want something darker:

Play Cult of the Lamb.

It's part farming sim, part roguelike, part cult management. Weirdly wholesome despite the sacrificial rituals.

One of my favorite indie games from the last few years.

Fun fact: The average Steam user only finishes 30% of the games they buy.

I'm definitely in that camp. My "completed" shelf is embarrassingly short compared to my "owned" list.

How many games in your backlog have you actually finished? Be honest.

You ever buy a game on sale, add it to the backlog, then buy it again 6 months later because you forgot you already owned it?

Just me?

(This is why I started using a game tracker. Saved me from buying Hollow Knight three times.)

No release date yet, but it's early in development. Plenty of time to finish your current backlog... or add to it. 😅

What's your most-played RPG? Mine's still Skyrim at 300+ hours (yes, I have a problem).

Here's the thing about massive RPGs like this: they're going to live in your backlog for MONTHS (maybe years) before you finish them.

BG3 took me 120+ hours. Divinity: Original Sin 2? 150 hours and I still haven't seen everything.

Larian just dropped the news: they're working on a new Divinity game, calling it their "biggest and most ambitious project yet."

After BG3 set a new bar for RPGs, the pressure is ON. But if anyone can pull it off, it's Larian.

Larian just announced their next Divinity game—their 'most ambitious project yet.'

Wild to say after BG3 rewrote what we expect from RPGs.

Anyone else adding this to their backlog before it even has a release date? My PlayPile needs a wishlist category.

What's your most-anticipated RPG?
