Thank you! Yes, have to be mindful of those undercity critters!

Good to know! I meant the Tomb Engine ❤️
November 17, 2025 at 5:28 AM
Yusss, that's exactly right ❤️ I'd love to tinker with the Tomb Raider engine someday! Seems like fun!

Yep, there's a reason large publishers and studios have been able to get away with baffling working conditions for so long: the more popular the games, the more people will buy it anyway. Ethical game consumption becomes increasingly more difficult in late stage capitalism, but only if you care 😅

I'd hope so, but many people are just not aware at all. They just buy and play games without learning about the practices behind them. Worse, many just don't care. Rockstar just smashed a fledgling union, but you can bet that GTA6 will rake in millions for them.

It was absolutely an assumption on my part, but could be boomer mentality as well 😅 Perhaps they only know TR from the remastered console versions? A lot of people just want plug and play stuff, but are very unaware of the time and effort it takes to actually make any game, let alone publish it.

This feels like the entitlement of a very young person 😅 making video games is incredibly difficult and hard work - if you want a polished game for free, go make your own 👋

Gonna toss up Mythological Greece and Egypt along the lines of Titan's Quest and AC: Odyssey and Origins. I know they've been used as settings for other ttrpgs (renamed, inspired, or otherwise), but I have yet to see them as fully fleshed out standalone games.

My fav genre! There are a couple of good ones out there already: Outgunned Adventure is the most recent, but Hollow Earth Expedition and Pulp Cthulhu have been around for a while as well. Personally, I lean towards OGA because it's a very fast and easy to learn system.

I just finished replaying both of them. Still so good ❤️

I'm very curious. Might watch it tomorrow!

Not UK-based (Netherlands), but my dear friend @allenvooreef.bsky.social has some Dragon Age art!

Yeeep, I'm so happy I get to work from home most of the time 😅

Do we have the same coworkers? 🤔
November 14, 2025 at 3:13 PM
I think those have a baseplate, then a plate layer in various colors, topped by transparent tiles, right?
November 14, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Oh yeah, and you can create a deeper water /shallows effect as well, but you'd need at least two plate layers and one tile layer to make it look good 🌊
November 14, 2025 at 12:10 PM
We can't be interested in everything, now can we?
November 14, 2025 at 12:08 PM
Right right, yeah, totally get it. I also use normal plates as a base. Those large square technic bricks are also useful!
