Do yourself a favor and get a pair of GOOD supportive running shoes. You will be walking ~10 miles/day on hard tile/concrete.
I recommend the Brooks Glycerins or New Balance 1080 for maximum cushion. Older versions are available for <$100. Your back and your feet will thank you.
