Watched a very strange movie last night. It’s called Welcome to Happiness. Not a solution suggesting sort of thing, but I recommend. It does contribute something.

Ah, thanks. Not speaking specifically of myself now, but my younger self, those all around driven by the expectations of society or other people. Also, that we each reach for what we see without realizing that this same striving has gone on for all human history, hence the arcade visible as we age.

I like making poetry for any reason and being a bit different is probably the best reason I can think of. It’s a characteristic about myself, friends, and random strangers that creates dynamic connection. That and generosity. I am forever giving something; a poem seems to me to be a genuine gift.

That photo looks a lot like my best lasagna recipe. (Yes, it has spinach in it, so there you have it!) My brain never seems content to embrace a standard interpretation but that makes for interesting writing prompts.

My husband and I have played Rummikub until midnight on NYEve for 43 years. We’re playing to a million.

Ummmm…. Some things that make for excellent fiction are not things that one hopes to be known as based on their own experiences. Don’t know how else to say that.

This is great, Alex! My daughter shops estate sales to find dupes for the kitchen things she grew up with at my house. One way or another, we seek to preserve what is meaningful to us.

When the muse sends a character to, you don’t have a responsibility but you definitely have an opportunity.

Submitted! I decided to combine the two stories but the together the piece is still in the right place with respect to word count. I’m wishing I could share another, a truly monstrous romance, but it exceeds your word limit.

I think I have something that would fit. It’s late here so I’ll look at word count in the morning. It’s a story with a sequel story so I’ll send both; they could stand alone but better together. Thanks for the opportunity to take a crooked track.
