The Red-Bellied Bonehead (Oscalvarii Rosaventera), a common fish in the rivers, streams, and bogs of Southern Arcadia. As they age their underbellies grow an ever more vibrant shade of red, starting a pale pink and ending in a deep crimson.

The first of what was a flurry of sketches of Gobocene fish, the genus Oscalvarii (lovingly called "Boneheads") are a sub-group of the family Osiidae, one of the most common types of fish in the setting. They're funky lil fellers, and VERY diverse, honestly if I was better at phylogeny I'd probably have them broken up even more, but eh. Hopefully the end of my unwanted hiatus.

Anatomically modern goblins (Gobo Sophos, "Sage Goblin") are among the most prolific, though not only sapient creatures of Arcadia and beyond.

A hunter from the Great Steppe, a very average male specimen. A woman from The Cradle, likely from a farming or fishing village, she has the common ethnographic feature of a short, stubby tail, which allows her to wear clothing without obstruction.

Working on another culture of Arcadia.
The Middle Kingdom is a nation of the western coast of Arcadia, brimmed on it's north by the mountains which isolate The Cradle. They're a major power in the region and the source of most of the tin used in bronze across the continent.

Midu, one of the Apikwam people of The Isles. Her clan runs a fine tavern in one of the many city states along The Cradle's coasts, serving wine, tea, and good foods to the traveler and townie alike.

Vent Art: "Seeing Red"
I've not had a kind life. the more I learn about other folks the clearer that seems. Violence and I have a weird relationship, I guess. Boxing being just about the only sport I excelled at, but the reasons for me doing it were always toxic: to vent my rage, to seek approval I'd never get, to get respect from people who hated me for existing, that shit. I used to brawl a lot too, especially as a kid. Me and my friends would get into these dumbass fistfights with kids in the woods behind my shitty suburban rental home for the privilege of hanging out under an old oak tree surrounded by scrap metal and a giant ring of excavated dirt. Often times when I think about how I grew up, and how I hurt people, how I was good at hurting people, I feel 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬, and I guess that's what this piece is about. I've been angry a lot lately, the righteous sort of anger that comes from being cooped up while fascists march in the open, not being able to do anything about it for fear of running out of money, and that righteous fury turns to quiet rage, despair, and I feel 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬 again.
