The issue isn’t whether other countries should take them back. Its about detaining people without due process. Labeling all 30k people as foreign criminals ignores that many are asylum seekers or people fleeing hardship or persecution. America should lead with justice, not punishment without trial.

That’s irrelevant to Trump’s plan to use Guantanamo Bay. None of them proposed sending 30k people, including non criminals, to a facility notorious for detaining people without due process. Deportations are one thing, but mass detention in a militarized camp is entirely different.

Okay dokey. Trumps plan makes no such guarantee that all these people are ‘hardened criminals’. Past crackdowns have detained non criminals and reports confirm that innocent people often get caught in mass deportations. If you think all 30,000 will be violent offenders, you are truly brainwashed.
