We were all asleep when the bomb hit the base. It wasn’t the bomb that killed us. It was the cold. It rushed into the base freezing most of us in our sleep. I made it out by only being near the door to the other quarters.

I lost my hand in the mines of Europa. Those ice crawlers took it from me; Down in those mines. I only got out due to a cave in. Almost lost my leg.

Them spiters had us run like scared roaches. I wouldn’t even know you were on one till it was too late. Many men died being blasted into the air be them and freezing half way down. We left their sharp mangled bodies there.
