I'm white and Dutch (yes, I know), I was a teacher of English for many years. I love AAVE for it's tenses, vocab, idiom etc. Yet, despite all that, frankly, the gate keeping should've started decades ago. If any of that makes sense. If it doesn't, forgive me: it's late. Take care.

Yes. And, sadly not only in the US. It's everywhere. The US just has more money and willingness to propagandise it than any other White country on Earth. Although the UK is trying very hard at the moment.

To me, the radical left seems hell bent on fighting the Democrats instead of the Trump admin... I don't understand how the people in the US mangled the meaning of 'left', 'right', 'centre', 'socialism' etc. I know that's not you, just felt like voicing my impression from the outside. Great content!

There's White supremacy people where I'm from (call it Europe) in abundance to day. There is also systemic racism. None of it is like the racism I'm getting from the US. It's seems to be a core part of the whole deal of that country.

Yes. Since on Bluesky, following you and a few other people, I started rereading, and reading more about the history of the US I am shocked at my previous ignorance. I now think that the current stink is nothing new: it's just the US treating more people like it has always treated Black Americans.

Hey, me again. I get the post you reposted. But (I'm an outsider) I'm not sure what you mean with your comment. Unless you mean that electing Obama broke the White American Mould and White America has been very miffed ever since.
