TBH the worst ones were those with a little clown with a red balloon down the central hole.
I also seem to remember the next stop had those toilets where your poo lands on a shelf. Much flushing ensued there trying to dispose of the 'evidence'.

Remembering a school trip to France in the 70's, and the first toilet break on the autoroute was at one of those little service areas they had, which was all squat toilets.
