Zelda changed styles throughout their career, from punk to post-punk to new wave to funk to reggae. As I explore their discography this week, I've liked everything so far. I'm currently up to 1989, so I haven't reached reggae yet, but so far so good.

I have thousands of favorite writers, but if I were to attempt to list and rank them it would be impossible. On different days, in different moods, I might change who was #67, or who was #333. The only numbers that don't seem to change are #1: Emile Zola, #2: Maurice Leblanc.

I've been waiting 200 years to watch Project Y. After playing at various film festivals this year, it will open in Korean cinemas next month. So maybe at some point in 2026-7 it will be available on a streaming service (hopefully with English subtitles). I am waiting so (im)patiently.

I finished watching "The Manipulated" today, so you may all discuss it freely now. Jo Yoon-su and Ji Chang-wook continue to rank high on my list of favorite contemporary actors. I'm happy they've both had good roles and good projects recently.

Work on novel #5 progresses. Too poor to do anything or to eat much, I spent my day off at home working on it. I had to write a difficult and important section today, but I think it turned out well. I wish you could all read it. I also hope that I can finish it before I die.

The steady release of promotional stills for "A Shop for Killers" season 2 makes me hope it will be released early next year. I'm really looking forward to it. It was a great role for Kim Hye-jun.

Say what you will about the behind the scenes drama, but when it comes to "The Witcher", Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennifer, and Freya Allan as Ciri was perfect casting.

The coolest character from "Star Wars: Visions" is F. Her two episodes were highlights from that series. Kara and Ronin were also fun characters, but I feel like F is the series MVP so far. The animation studio that made her episodes also does "The Rising of the Shield Hero", so maybe I'll watch it!

It's snowing today. Which means there was never really an Autumn this year, and Winter will be extra long and extra fierce. We can get through it if my unrealistic hopes are realized: that people will be kind, wages will increase, and you'll all join me for drinks and karaoke on days off.
