It’s almost impossible to listen to Slot and Ali talk and think the issue is with management or their communication.
And yet, there I see people ranting all day about Slot not speaking enough to Salah and being a bad man manager. Bizarre.

Oh 100%. There’s zero room for sentiment. Slot’s done the absolute right thing and some people are giving him emotional pelters for rational decisions.

His ‘promises’ were that he could play and not run while posting numbers. He’s stopped posting numbers and so he’s stopped playing. Football is ruthless and the coach has to be.

I’m very willing to give all a pass, given everything.

If the run continues then usually a manager pays, just because bosses feel that has to happen, but I don’t know how you even begin trying to pinpoint the issues given the huge intangibles.

Very strange how Gilroy was brought into to make Rogue One more “billion dollar” and then they gave him an outrageous budget to make an (incredible) arthouse TV show watched by about 250 people
