They're doing a single request, to check for liveness. You're suggesting that they first make a request to robots.txt which requires... A request. That's the same traffic as just doing the liveness check

Intuitively doesn't seem possible. Publishing the sig intends to prove you have private knowledge, and you also intend to prove you don't have private knowledge, so...
Can't quite prove you've "forgotten" something either.
