- rear driver's side links removed with far less drama
- drama reduction provided by a brand new toy: an induction heater
- had to remove parts of the exhaust to make room for my hands

- all the stuck bolts and nuts
- decided to replace all the fuckin' links in the rear suspension (lateral control arms, trailing arm) with adjustable ones
- replacing all the hardware
- passenger side is done
- acquired more tools, broke the handle of a breaker bar

Two (2) bent rearward lateral links which explain the fucked up toe and thrust angle on the car. The bolts are rusted to hell and back, and I want to set things on fire.

the fix was relatively easy, and now she will happily rev to redline and limiter with zero desyncs.

. the good news is that i had a spare axle in the pile of parts that came with the car i got with the car. so in it went and it was finally drivable. but there was one more thing left to do

- new suspension in and she's on rally tyres
- new axle in (old one exploded)
- fixed the problem with the VR sensor wiring that was causing desyncs at higher rpms
