one of the modern tragedies I don’t think many people talk about in regards to game preservation, is actually Roblox. There are thousands, or even millions of games that are inaccessible, and lost to time. Fully fledged projects from 2008-2015ish that have been forgotten with no way to preserve them

deal-breakers to a modern audience, but back in the day, they were pretty revolutionary. If you watch the documentary you can tell that they were limited by a handful of things, including the fact that a lot of this hadn’t been done before. The atmosphere and story is also top notch 👆

while you have some good points, I think HL2 is still phenomenal even to this day, if not just for it’s commitment to being accessible for new developers to use its tools to make things. In 2024 the limitations of the time feel like
