This is all just a theory, and would mean a significant jump for Wizz/Frontier. But with Norse retreating into ACMI, and Play disappearing from Iceland, maybe they think the gap in the market exists. 5/5

The range of the A321XLR that Wizz have can easily do London-Chicago, but would it be able to make the distance departing from Luton on its shorter runway? Could Wizz instead force it's way into Heathrow with the slots available to them in the CMA deal? 4/5

This base is only going to get bigger with the acquisition of Spirit. The CMA ruled that AA/IAG have to give slots, and support competing airlines on the Chicago route through other measures, including giving access to connecting passengers on preferential terms. 3/5

A number of months ago the UK Competition and Markets Authority ruled on some key US/UK air routes, and one of these was London to Chicago. Which airline has a big base Chicago O'Hare? Frontier. Who are 80% owned by Indigo Partners. 2/5
