Nine months ago I took a taxi with no driver. We’d arrived at Phoenix airport and I ordered an Uber to take us to our hotel.

While we sat waiting, a wierd car pulled up. Then I twigged, Waymo was in Phoenix.

I cancelled my Uber and downloaded the Waymo app.

Etihad do trains? Not really, but really.

For some flight bookings you may notice a very long travel time. And a weird routing. Dig deeper and you’ll see your journey starts (or ends) with a train. And one that takes an odd path.

Here's a review of The Pearl Lounge in Abu Dhabi which I wrote over the weekend. I was passing through AUH on the way to Doha, and spent a couple of hours in here.

I had heart mixed reports about this lounge, so our expectations were low...
