I'll tell you this, I continue to feel pained by the fact the mainline series has forsaken world maps ever since X! I NEED MY GENUINE TRAVERSABLE WORLD MAPS.

And bare in mind I'm only talking Tidus in a vacuum, since it's well known that X on the whole has way more fans than haters, being a hyper successful entry that happened to resonate with many in the fan base.

I've no doubt that type of person exists as well, but I feel on the whole for Final Fantasy, it's a series that naturally cultivated a fanbase that isn't Rambo-pilled. And yet still, Tidus is still a divisive element, funnily enough even among X fans. He's always been an odd sticking point.

I've always seen a lot of Tidus and Sena, and I love the shit out of the latter, hell I've seen a lot of Sena love in general. This is why I think it's an execution issue. Sena's given so much time to breathe, elaborate, and reflect on her insecurities that she works in concert with the cast.

Even though I'm a X hater I personally don't think of Tidus as the issue. I enjoy a good laugh at the HA HA HA shit but that's an awkward moment the game forces you to swallow and it's too shallow to let it drag down my experience. If anything I would say Tidus is a red herring critics latched on to
