Discovered my Samsung TV was uploading more than download. In 12 hours it uploaded 3.75GB. This is apparently the norm for “Smart” TVs. I was horrified to learn it captures screenshots and snippets of audio. Not concerned about video but am about prior PC/laptop connection and personal data.

PSA: A lot of bots are invading Bluesky, so many of us are being cautious in following back.

Please make sure you put something in your bio to tell people who you are! This is how we find each other!

Like and repost other's posts! This is how we build Bluesky!

And helps show you are not a bot!

Recently visited the Da Vinci exhibition in Melbourne and was amazed by the presentation and content. His breadth of knowledge, precise note taking. What a great example of human potential. Did not know so many things, his poor upbringing, his learning through observation and his thoughtful quotes.

A simple experiment you can do is buy a server, set up a website with nothing on it, then look at the access logs. All day, every day, there are random systems just blasting vulnerabilities at every device on the internet. Analysts call it "background noise", executives call it "cyber attacks".

I’ve noticed that I’m using this platform more and more. The posts are more worthwhile. Twitter was already kicked to the kerb but my reddit usage is moving somewhat towards Bluesky. I will use both but it’s interesting to see how this new platform is proving a more engaging environment.

Can we have a way to ignore all posts if it contains say a specific name or word? I want to detoxify myself from nonsense and avoid media relating to unwanted content. If you agree with the idea, please spread the word and share a similar sentiment. This would be great feature.

@bolt.new any thoughts appreciated, is bolt only targeting JavaScript style apps?
Do you see bolt.new being useful for enterprise development ie. server backend with front end layer? I’m looking for a tool to help me develop a GO backend with some other front end UI.

@bolt.new your tool is one of the most effective coding tools using AI. I felt that I gained more progress for time spent than any other. App development and supabase integration is fantastic.

💡 Tip: You can set your website as your username on Bluesky!

This is one form of self-verification, and we especially encourage official organizations and brands to do this! Examples include @npr.org @react.dev @duolingobrasil.com.br.

Here's our guide for how to do this:

@stephenking.bsky.social curious, given your strong views why you still persist with twitter? Genuine question. I happen to just check twitter and recent comment of yours popped up.
