Dear Political Geography Study Group Members,

The Call for Sessions for this year’s IAG Conference is now open, with the theme Emergent Geographies. If you are planning to propose a session and would like it to be sponsored by the IAG Political Geography Study Group, please send your proposal to the Study Group convenors (contact details below) by the 22nd of February. This will allow us to coordinate and liaise before the Call for Sessions closes on the 24th.

Among the broad areas of interest in political geography are:

•	Geopolitics and power
•	Resistance and decolonial power struggles
•	Borders, migration and mobilities
•	Power relations and social justice
•	Territory, sovereignty, and contestation
•	Statehood, nation, and political struggles
•	Urban governance and spatial control
•	Gendered geographies of power and space
•	Environmental politics and resource conflicts
•	(In)security and conflict
•	Global political economy and spatial domination
•	Electoral geography

We encourage proposals that engage with these and related themes.

Kind regards,
Bronte, Rafa, and Sallie
