The only thing I know about deflation in the US economy is that if you look at the periods where we a deflationary economy, they generally weren't periods I'd wish to be placed into. But that is a long ago impression I haven't revisited in a good while.

As a U.S. senator, I don't expect you to actually understand that we don't get to just appoint people to run countries and say they are the legitimately elected leaders of that country, but most people outside of the power structure you're in get it easily enough.

You can make the case for Gonzales, but iff the Machado you're referring to is the Peace Prize, winner, she holds no elected office and hasn't since 2014. They would need to hold new elections for her to have democratic legitimacy.
