This is exactly what happened in India from 2014-2019 after PM Modi was elected. In August 2019, Modi unilaterally abrogated Articles 370 & 35a that removed Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir’s constitutionally granted autonomy. /4

Not justifying behaviors, but I find it difficult sometimes to fully understand/encompass/feel the loss we bore. The outcome is that I am way more empathetic now than I used to be pre-covid - but maybe the opposite happened to a bunch of people?
