100% this! He has completely negated the "Why" behind Joel's decision. There was a tape recorder in the first game that mentions other failed test subjects, that coupled with some lines of dialog from Joel was enough to plant some seeds of doubt. Now that has been tossed aside.. I don't get it.

I was so surprised when I learned how long Dungeon has been around. I have not played Talisman but after looking it up my interest is piqued!
