When they talk about "Business confidence" I can't help but wonder what businesses are being polled.

Not small business is my guess.
Big multinationals extracting wealth from the country.
And IMO they're not businesses, they're blights.

Wow, turning state schools into private schools at the whim of a minister is a path to more fast-track corruption.

And having a private actor pick up goodness knows how many schools with no scrutiny past the first. Shocking.

Sadly, wall to wall corruption & grifting with this lot.

I'd have thought they'd still be firmly on the hook for failing to meet their obligations.

But a 10% increase in capacity isn't going to cut the fact we're missing an entire rail-enabled boat, making NW's decision to skupper the ferries relevant to the no bookings available bit of the article.

That's a useful tweet to bookmark.
It's going to keep coming to bite us that's for sure.

So can't rule out that that mitochondria are the base cause.

Anyway, when I'm not so busy I'll do another dive, see if any new research has come out with an actionable treatment because it would be nice to be able to improve QOL

Thanks.
Did a big deep dive on this nearly ten years ago to keep my son alive. Back then the mitochondria angle looked interesting but none of the obvious stuff worked.

So went for ACTH insufficiency—a condition that has a treatment that helps—but mitochondria are very important to adrenal glands

As Mamdani says, when it's not free for everyone many of the people who need it most will miss out.

Also, free is the way to go so that everyone can quickly see the benefit, and it's harder for a government like this current one to undo.

💯
...quickly looking up mitochondria & ME/CFS again...I don't suppose you have more information. Please feel free to DM me if you've found something that helps. I'd really appreciate it.

It's also why the RSB needs to be immediately revoked.
It's not like the public wanted it.

It's a potential ticking time bomb for whoever's in government in 2026-29..

This is how Atlas lays traps for their opponents.

I'm torn:
On one hand it's a message for (who are able to) to think about buying local and avoid the big supermarket chains.

On the other, the whole perfection thing is a real problem, like the whole you can be a perfect recycler message, when what we need is better systems.
