Still mulling over my profile description - in the meantime, free Palestine, books, music, BCFC, motorsport, doesn't respond to DMs. Celebrating the demise of Twitter. :)
I'm not comparing anything, I'm saying that the US can clearly intercept vessels at sea when it so chooses, instead of blowing them up. D'you think those helicopters are slower than the boats? You think the US Navy doesn't have fast boats? :)

Either/or, really - be nice to go up just for the extra revenue, even if we're up and back down, it's more cash in the war chest to build a Premiership team.

It's bizarre - they're doing genuinely good work. But then they'll also say "we're not rejoining the EU" and "let's continue the demonisation of asylum seekers".

Piracy. And will you look at that - they CAN intercept boats when they want to.

December 2, 2025 at 11:18 PM

... Before going on to appear on stage with a Reform member of the Sennedd suspended for using racial slurs, your post appears not to mention.

All homes that watch live TV, BBC or not. The government has certainly imposed punitive changes to BBC funding before - they recently removed government funding for free licences for the over 75 whilst insisting it remain as a (now BBC-funded) benefit.

BBC senior management is overwhelmingly right-wing, as evidenced by the edit of Trump's Jan 6th speech being the only thing they've apologised for and for which senior resignations were made.

Excuse my language but it's fucking insane that Labour are going Reform+ - do they think that's what their voters want? Did they not see what happened to the Tories when they tried to out-Reform Reform?

I've joined the Greens but will vote tactically.
