In orders, one talks about top (⊤) and bottom (⊥) elements, but bottom is too long so one instead calls them top and bot. But bot means many other things. Why not call them bottom and toppom?

There are too many linux distributions. Maybe it's time to sacrifice some of them, to usher in the year of the linux desktop.

Sometimes people online write "I don't know why, but X reminds me of Y", even when it's obvious why X would remind them of Y (e.g. two similar songs).
Has anyone else noticed this pattern? Why would someone write that?

You might think that "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" and "Sometimes I Think About Dying" are the same movie, but they are actually very different; the latter is a Star Wars movie.

Wikipedia sometimes allows non-free SVGs, but only if they are small. If you zoom in on an SVG, Wikipedia will go to jail.

Complimenting someone's gait feels uncouth, as gait is a pretty ugly word. Maybe I should say that I can see positive qualities by the way they use their walk, no time to talk.

Is there a digital card game where you can damage the cards, e.g. fold corners, draw on them with a sharpie, rip them in half? There should be.

In the 80's Ericsson released the Alfaskop 91 computer and a music video about a "Hacker Trucker" who boasts about using the "A91". It also features a woman with orange-glowing teeth, like a CRT screen. Cool.
