I backed my car into a cop car the other day.
This is my white fir I got with a tree permit from the national forest where I work! My lights are LEDs that can shift between white and mixed colors. I have lights on my house for the first time ever which I'm very excited about! They are just white.
My shopping is done but I still need to wrap..

Star Trek depicts an arguably fairly realistic, I'd say net positive future. Not a book, but still.

The Forest Service has been in a budget crisis for years and has been barely scraping by.... The concept that we actually have enough money from FY25 to keep the vast majority of our workforce on seems...... Fishy at best.

In the Forest Service, at least at the forest level, there is barely anybody furloughed. It's absolutely insane and definitely seems to violate the anti deficiency act in my view.
