It's unethical to use Twitter unless you have the fearlessness, self-assurance and need to fight of Stancil

There's always a battle to his left to win, so that he'll have the time to oppose the invasion of Iraq

Now I wanna know—what kind of hat?!

It is clear that you don't have any what your interlocutors are saying. I'm muting you and going to do some research on how to mitigate age-related cognitive decline.

You're seeing what you want to see because you've chosen a dumb hill to die on.

Your contention is roughly that the internet is bad, let's take that for the sake of argument. Your position here is roughly: the internet is bad, so let's empower the worst actors on it and ruin everyone else. Do you get how that's... silly and unserious?
December 15, 2025 at 5:17 PM
But you are wrong about your belief then, and everyone is clearly explaining why.
December 15, 2025 at 5:02 PM
And who won't repealing section 230 silence? Are you reading the actual answers to your question at all?

- NPV compact
- Automatic universal voter registration
- A new VRA

This is why Democrats need a platform focused on institutional reform. Having to adopt policy positions opposed by supermajorities of the national public to win the hyper-malapportioned Senate is anti-democratic, & promising policies you can never pass is political suicide.

I really feel like more people need to constructively engage with this! You can think the moderation/centrism discourse is often braindead (as I do!) but the center left really needs a pretty robust convo about what winning, say, an Iowa or Kansas or Texas or Ohio senate seat would look like.

No, it doesn't. Bluesky having editorial responsibility for comments means Bluesky can't exist *at all*. You just get Facebook, X, Google, and Truth Social.

Put aside the point about society "being less fractured". You have not responded to, or seemingly understood, any of the reasons people are telling you repealing section 230 is bad, especially: it would strengthens large tech companies by making their smaller competitors unable to operate.

If Democrats are going to keep acting as if the average American still wants ICE around, maaaan ....

I think there's 42 states in play if somebody promises to eradicate ICE completely and leave every single one of these grimdark facesock motherfuckers chained to the wall in Alcatraz's basement

I will not be voting for any candidate in 2028 who doesn't promise to put a bunch of Republicans behind bars. I want truth and reconciliation commissions for the 2000 election, the Iraq war, the war on terror, the war in Afghanistan, the 2008 recession, and both Trump administrations, at least.

So the substance of what I'm saying is going completely over your head.

Section 230 pertains to websites.
December 13, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Was society less fractured in the Jim Crow South? Was it less fractured for gay people?

This measure would not solve the problem of the existence of gigantic tech companies, it would enhance their power, give them an excuse to do censorship on the DOJ's behalf, and kill their smaller competition.
December 13, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Only the big players would survive in such a legal environment, which is why the big tech companies want it. Bluesky could not survive. Wikipedia would not survive. Every small online store that allowed user reviews would be in constant risk. No blog could allow comments.
December 13, 2025 at 6:44 AM
This would allow the corrupt DOJ to sue every website that published a user comment or didn't like. Even if the website owners could win the lawsuit, the cost alone would be sufficient to drive out of business any site that allowed user comments.
