One of my best friends is from a sleepy, wealthy small town in the south-west of Germany. He said, so many of my parents’ neighbours are rich and bored, with little to complain about, and they’ve radicalised themselves at dinner parties and online. In their aimlessness, they’ve bonded over hate.
This isn’t some rant saying “Germany has learned nothing from its past” - the reality is more subtle than that. Middle-class Germans live and travel with an incredible amount of ease and comfort, and they just got…sleepy. Many of them dismissed the far-right’s rage as just another set of complaints.

I am beginning to suspect that these constant authoritarian executive orders are trying to incite violent acts against them to finish off the narrative that they need to ‘protect’ the nation against those of us who oppose him. Allowing for mass arrests, violence from right wing militiamen etc.

Bring Pauly Shore back for “In the Army now 2” I have some script ideas.
Captain America Brave New World was a great starting point for the franchise going forward.
The plot was a bit convoluted, but still stuck the ending well. The action sequences were some of the best in the MCU. Idk what the critics were on, it wasn’t perfect, but it’s definitely a solid 8/10

Just saw “The Order.” Nicholas Hoult and Jude Law killed their performances. The story, cinematography, and dialogue were phenomenal. The poignant nature of highlighting the FBI’s relevance today compared to 1984 makes it hit all the harder. 10/10

I see a lot of celebration of that CEO’s demise, as if it means anything to the board who will find new meat for the grinder ASAP. Our reaction must have the 1% shook either way though.
