For every displaced person, our staff show up – listening, advocating, delivering life-saving support.

From shelter to water or protection, every role helps turn fear into hope.

What does that mean to those forced to flee?

For Sudan, less funding = less food, healthcare and protection.

Refugees and their host communities can’t afford for the world to look away.

Every day, our staff witnesses the life-saving impact of humanitarian aid, from healthcare to shelter and safety to dignity.

But funding cuts are putting millions of refugees at risk. Less food. Limited healthcare. Fewer options. Greater need.

It’s already happening.

Funding cuts have closed nutrition services in 4 out of 7 refugee sites in Ethiopia

80,000 children under 5 are at risk of severe malnutrition.
This is preventable. Funding saves lives.

Two years of war in Sudan.

Millions displaced. Futures lost.

Our colleague UNHCR’s Omer met Sudanese refugees in Chad.

He carries their message: “Save Sudan.”

It’s time the world listened.

Then war took everything.

Idris is 1 of nearly 13 million Sudanese forced to flee.

Sudan is tired. Its people deserve peace, not just survival.

Bangladesh, UNHCR and @iom.int have launched today a US$935m programme to help Rohingya refugees and their Bangladeshi hosts in 2025.

We asked that aid cuts be avoided, as they will endanger lives.

We reaffirmed the need to create conditions for the safe, voluntary return of refugees to Myanmar.

Floods. Cyclones. Landslides. Fires.

Rohingya refugees and host communities in Bangladesh face constant climate threats.

Humanitarian aid helps them prepare and rebuild, but more support is needed to strengthen resilience.

This is my first Bluesky post.

But I am happy to be here to talk about the cause of a lifetime.

To shine a light on the experiences of those forced to flee, and of those whose exile ends.

To tell you about the work of courageous colleagues, at UNHCR and beyond.
