we had to say goodbye to knute on friday

after almost a year battling lymphoma and 8 with heart disease, he was ready to be done

we found this sweetest, most perfect little guy running through traffic as a 7-week-old kitten. he was the most present cat i've ever known, and i can't imagine him gone
Knute as a tiny black kitten,. standing on his hind legs inside the legs of an old stool, hold on to a crossbar of the stool with both his front paws and gnawing on it as he looks into the camera. his little belly is perfectly round Knute, a sleek black cat, peeking over the edge of a wooden desk and looking right at you. one paw is daintily reaching over the edge of the desk. he is perfect. Knute, a black cat, dramatically lit by midday sun from an off-camera window, his eyes almost slits as he stares at you resolutely. he is imperious. behind him is a wine rack topped with antique electric fans. Knute, a black cat, leaning over the armrest of an old wooden chair, his paws curved roundly and his eyes enormous circles as he gazes up lovingly and expectantly. he is soft.
